Bishop Ron Rae has been ministering in Southeast Asia for over a decade, working with local churches in the Philippines, Indonesia, and South Korea. He is affiliated with the Communion of Evangelical Episcopal churches, an organization of spirit-filled pastors whose liturgical style of worship is widely accepted in the predominantly Catholic countries where he ministers.
Bishop Rae resides in Baguio City, Philippines, and has been involved with parachurch and civic organizations there since his arrival 13 years ago. He has sponsored a feeding program for the children who live in the garbage dump, and also served on the board of Save our Street Children. While serving as a Crisis Counselor for Shalom House, a drug addiction treatment center, he was a member of the Philippine Council on Drugs and Substance Abuse. For many years he worked with Child and Family Services to establish programs to prevent child abuse. He designed an educational program that uses puppets to teach children about abuse; this program was presented to most of the elementary schools in Baguio City and in other communities as well.
